Late Shri. Laxmanrao Somasao Barbate founded the Group’s flagship firm, L.S. Barbate and Sons a Timber broker company in 1960 , Famous for his numerous social involvements, he was the chairman of Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s standing committee around 1970 and later had the honour of having a square (L.S. Barbate Square) named after him in Nagpur’s prominent Lakadganj locality. After him, His son Gangadharrao Barbate nurtured the timber business and expanded it multifold, giving it a new dimension. The next generation i.e. three brothers Satish Barbate, Nilesh Barbate and Vishal Barbate graduated by qualification had a fascination for automobile sector since childhood , Out of three brothers Vishal Barbate did his science graduation from Hislop College and his MBA in marketing from New Port University, California, USA. The Barbate Group comprises L. S. Barbate and Sons, a timber broking company, Arya Cars East- 1st Maruti Suzuki dealership in East Nagpur, Arya cars Central -2nd Maruti Suzuki dealership in Central Nagpur, NEXA- 1st premium range cars dealership of Maruti Suzuki in Nagpur , Arya Cars Maruti Driving School and Arya Autowheels Pvt. Ltd.,a dealership of Ashok-Leyland trucks and passenger buses, Arya Commercial new venture of MSIL. The mission is: ‘To deliver the highest quality comprehensive solutions to the diversified needs and expectations of customers, resulting in their total satisfaction’.
